THE BIG PICTURE Project

THE BIG PICTURE is my current project. The idea started as a way to give back to my local community, beginning with high school seniors in my area. For those of you who do not personally know me, I taught and coached students for 7 years. My love and passion has always been for children. As a high school English teacher, I often witnessed the struggles students experienced. It always amazed me what a child would say through their personal writings. Many had impossible challenges and turmoil at home, which most only witness on television.

After running my idea by a few close friends and family, I decided to branch out. So many families  overcome circumstances most can never imagine. While waiting at a restaurant the other day, I overheard two people talking. One told the other, “Please, see the big picture in all of this.” A bell went off, and I decided to name my project THE BIG PICTURE.

A purpose and plan prevails for each one of us. Some of us are blessed with health, some with financial assets, and others with amazing talents. Whatever plan God has chosen for you, it is wonderfully and perfectly made by Him.

THE BIG PICTURE PROJECT features people and families undergoing unimaginable circumstances. But through their challenges, they still manage to see “the big picture.”

If you know of a deserving individual or family who has overcome the odds and wants to share their story in hopes of inspiring others, please nominate them to be the recipient of THE BIG PICTURE Project. Three individuals/families will be chosen each year to receive a photo session and pictures to capture their unique story. My hope is that we can all learn from their ability to persevere and be inspired by the stories they share.
